My thesis delves into the tumultuous era of the Boston Busing Crisis and focuses on the differing methods in which the media framed this event. Through meticulous analysis, I uncover the nuances and biases in media coverage and reveal how differing narratives were emphasized or skewed. I investigate numerous articles from the Boston Globe that were written at the peak of the crisis, and I scrutinize articles to uncover how different journalists portrayed Judge Garrity and his rulings to the public. By dissecting these depictions, I aspire to shed light on the role of the media in transforming public opinion during this turbulent period.
