Congratulations to Will Hartl ’20 on his recently published article in the New England Journal of History.
Will’s piece, “Writing Against the Invisible Empire: Black Newspapers’ Responses to the Second Ku Klux Klan,” is based upon research he conducted for his senior honors thesis in History under the guidance of faculty advisor Dr. Darra Mulderry.
At PC, Will double majored in History and Philosophy, and during 2020-21 year he worked at IPH, a homeless shelter in Albany, New York. This month he began studying for a Master’s degree in Africana Studies at New York University.
