This project critically examines the dominance of blue-chip galleries and institutions in the contemporary art market, highlighting structural barriers that limit artistic diversity and accessibility. By exploring economic disparities, alternative selling platforms, and the impact of social media, this research investigates emerging shifts toward a more inclusive and equitable art world. The study challenges traditional market hierarchies and considers how digital platforms empower independent artists, ultimately proposing new frameworks that prioritize artistic expression, affordability, and community engagement over exclusivity and financial speculation.
