The following is a list of major national and international scholarships. The awards are listed with links to brief descriptions and their websites. Students should use the websites to familiarize themselves with the qualifications and application process for those awards that interest them. For a brief summary of each award, please click on the links below.​

Note that some awards require institutional endorsement. These awards have a campus deadline ahead of the national deadline, and it is advisable to begin work on these months ahead of time in order to be competitive. Critical Language Scholarship
Scholarship for summer study of languages (must choose from thirteen languages deemed critically important by the U.S. State Department).

Gilman Scholarships

SMART Scholarship
